Pilates (9-12) Specialty Program (VFF09)


Start a Pilates Specialty Club or use remotely! Pilates is an amazing, non-competitive fitness activity that is appropriate for all students at all levels. It helps boost core strength, improves posture, and make muscles more stable. No equipment necessary.  SELF-RUN virtual program that includes 30 days of content with 30-40 minutes of activity every day. Can be used on most instructional platforms like Zoom, Google Meets, and Microsoft Teams. Targets: 6th – 12th Grades


30-Day Pilates Instructor Megyn Taback has been teaching Pilates in Physical Education Classes for 17 years, fitness over 20 years and Yoga for 14 years. She started a semester long Pilates program where she teaches the students how to teach mat Pilates. The goal of the program is to introduce Pilates to children and to teach them Pilates is exercise for everybody.

Benefits of Pilates:

  1. Improves memory
  2. Deeper muscle activation, which means better function of the nervous system
  3. Calms the mind and emotions

The 30-Day Pilates program is divided into sections, each week a new exercise or variation is added. The exercises vary and have variations so all students can find their version of the exercise.

Pilates is a non-competitive fitness activity that is appropriate for all students at all levels.

Includes almost 1,000 minutes of instructional content. (30-40 minutes a day for 30 days)

  • Option of starting, stopping or repeating the lessons
  • As the instructor, you will be able to share your screen for the entire lesson lead by Pilates Teacher, Megyn Taback.
