USTA Recreational Tennis Grants Available
U.S. Tennis Association Recreational Tennis Division awards grants to non-profit community based organizations that support tennis programming and infrastructure in their local community. The USTA seeks applicants that are well established community based organizations or agencies committed to; increase tennis participation, support tennis programming, and foster diversity with both participation and programming. The USTA will award grants to selected organization that present a clear vision for establishing community based partnerships to meet these objectives. USTA Recreational Tennis Grant applicants have the option to apply for assistance in two (2) distinct categories: Program/Project Support ($2,500 – $10,000) and Community Partnership Investment ($10,000 – $50,000).
“Tennis Skillastics is an ideal activity for community programs that can help keep kids active and fit and allow them to develop tennis skills that can last a lifetime. Developed in conjunction with the USTA’s Tennis in Physical Education initiative and the QuickStart Tennis format, program leaders can utilize Tennis Skillastics for managing large numbers of students without the need for tennis courts. Each Tennis Skillastics kit comes with a teacher’s manual with 26 illustrated tennis and fitness games that are sure to be a hit with the kids and help them develop a love of the game”, said Jason Jamison, USTA National Manager, School Tennis.
